Innovative construction material: transparent aluminum

Modern science has made noticeable technological progress. there are truly revolutionary new building materials, new synthetic products are being created that are lighter, stronger and more environmentally friendly than conventional ones.

 

These building materials have the prospect of being widely used. Buildings with traditional brick and concrete structures will gradually become a thing of the past, as the demand of humanity is obvious. we need environmentally friendly, energy efficient, durable and lightweight buildings that are beautiful and functional.

 

 

Transparent aluminum is the material of the future and is a reality, it is a transparent ceramic based on aluminum oxynitride, abbreviated AlON, patented by the USA and is a compound of aluminum, oxygen and nitrogen that creates a transparent ceramic mass that is four even stronger than tempered glass. The structure of the compound is crystalline, it has a high density and hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale (like corundum), and the melting point of transparent aluminum is about 2150˚C. Interestingly, polished ALON acquires incredible additional resistance to abrasive and scratching loads; there is no domestic force majeure strong enough to scratch a future clear aluminum window. Resistant to radiation, acids, alkalis and water. It is also called: "layered ceramic, metallic glass, amorphous metal".

 

In construction, it is used to make impact-resistant windows, domes and other elements that require transparency and strength.
